That is 23AIRITY ST (Sensitive Tune). Another AIRITY that realizes a more delicate and direct winding feeling than the ultra-lightweight spinning reel “AIRITY”. The lineup includes 6 models specialized for finesse fishing, including ST and ST SF. While maintaining the basic performance of 23AIRITY/23AIRITY SF, the BB (ball bearing), which is the main rotating part that is directly connected to the lightness of the handle rotation, has been changed from the normal model’s grease specification BB to an oil specification BB.

The pride of AIRITY ST is available to anglers who seek a “direct rotational feel.”

AIRDRIVE DESIGN

The future of Daiwa Spinning Reels is AIRDRIVE DESIGN. By reducing the weight of rotor, spool & bail assembly, a lighter rotation is achieved. The effortless rotation allows the angler to feel the true joy of trouble free function.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

The reel boasts an AIRDRIVE ROTOR engineered to be incredibly rigid and with minimal flex, especially at high drag pressures. Critically designed cut-outs reduce the weight of the rotor, itself. The lighter the rotor, the less force it takes to spin around the reel, making it easier to turn the handle.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

It features a solid AIRDRIVE BAIL, which further reduces weight and offers more rigidity than standard wire, minimizing concerns over flex, bending, or breaking. The thicker material feels better to the fingers when flipping the bail as well. Other benefits include excellent line entanglement prevention performance.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

The stand out features of the AIRDRIVE SPOOL would have to be the newly shaped spool skirt and the simple single silver coloured cosmetic. Just by looking at the spool it is clear the structure has been redeveloped, reducing the weight and maximising the feeling of presence.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT

AIRDRIVE SHAFT creates the feel of smooth, quiet rotation and provides anglers with enhanced torque and power.

MONOCOQUE BODY
MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a body cover, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR

A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is our brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength.

ATD TYPE-L

New generation drag system. New ATD TYPE-L drag technology improves the initial drag system response. Lowering the peak drag max upon hook setting. Light tackle fishing especially requires a responsive and sensitive adjustment of the drag pressure. ATD TYPE-L allows anglers to have more control of the drag without stress during the fight.

ABS-LONGCAST

Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape.

QUICK DRAG

A quick drag that allows you to instantly adjust the drag tension with a small amount of rotation of the drag knob. Even when using a light line in bass fishing, it is possible to catch big fish quickly with aggressive drag operation.
