The 6th generation LUVIAS is born.
Equipped with a ZAION body and ZAION rotor, it achieves a high level of contradictory performance, namely light weight and rigidity.
Furthermore, adopting AIRDRIVE DESIGN has improved operability, allowing you to control lures as you wish.
The drag, main shaft material, special surface treatment of the drive gear, and other features have been designed to be suitable for the intended use.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN

The future of Daiwa Spinning Reels is AIRDRIVE DESIGN. By reducing the weight of rotor, spool & bail assembly, a lighter rotation is achieved. The effortless rotation allows the angler to feel the true joy of trouble free function.

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

The reel boasts an AIRDRIVE ROTOR engineered to be incredibly rigid and with minimal flex, especially at high drag pressures. Critically designed cut-outs reduce the weight of the rotor, itself. The lighter the rotor, the less force it takes to spin around the reel, making it easier to turn the handle.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

It features a solid AIRDRIVE BAIL, which further reduces weight and offers more rigidity than standard wire, minimizing concerns over flex, bending, or breaking. The thicker material feels better to the fingers when flipping the bail as well. Other benefits include excellent line entanglement prevention performance.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

The stand out features of the AIRDRIVE SPOOL would have to be the newly shaped spool skirt and the simple single silver coloured cosmetic. Just by looking at the spool it is clear the structure has been redeveloped, reducing the weight and maximising the feeling of presence.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT

AIRDRIVE SHAFT creates the feel of smooth, quiet rotation and provides anglers with enhanced torque and power.

MONOCOQUE BODY
MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a body cover, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

ZAION

DAIWA’s unique technology has succeeded in molding a special resin with high density carbon fiber woven into it, which is extremely difficult to process. This is the pinnacle of DAIWA carbon material, combining incredible lightness and strength. Only high-end models are allowed to wear this performance.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR

A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is our brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength.

ATD TYPE-L

New generation drag system. New ATD TYPE-L drag technology improves the initial drag system response. Lowering the peak drag max upon hook setting. Light tackle fishing especially requires a responsive and sensitive adjustment of the drag pressure. ATD TYPE-L allows anglers to have more control of the drag without stress during the fight.

ATD (TOUGH)

The ATD operates smoothly and keeps working smoothly in response to the pull of the fish. The ATD Tough uses carbon washers to achieve high durability. The drag has been designed to provide a smooth start and tracking, allowing you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about the drag setting.

ABS-LONGCAST

Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape.
