Thorough pursuit of “winding”. A new standard for high-rigidity, compact tie-rubber reel
Equipped with the next-generation bait technology “HYPERDRIVE DESIGN”, which has greatly improved the level of all basic performance, aiming to maintain high basic performance for a long time. Not only the frame but also the side plate (on the gear side) is made of AL, realizing high housing rigidity despite its compact size. Equipped with a 130mm long handle as standard to support anglers with lighter winding. Not only the normal gear model (6.3), but also the extra high gear model (8.1) can achieve light winding and constant speed winding. The extra high gear model can be handled with one unit even in situations where tie mule and tie jigging (SLJ etc.) are performed by relay method.
TECHNOLOGY
In 2021, Daiwa’s NEW bait reel will be revolutionized and reborn as a next-generation machine. The symbolic term is the hyperdrive design.
Hyperdrive design is a new design concept for baitcasting reels that aims to maintain high basic performance for a long time and greatly raise the level of all basic performance.
In order to achieve this, a double shaft bait reel is constructed with Hyperdrive Digigear (drive gear + pinion gear) as the core, hyper double support (pinion gear support method), hyper-armed housing, and hyper tough clutch. While further refining the technology cultivated from the past, the four important parts have been greatly brushed up with cutting-edge, first-ever technology. As the name suggests, it has transcendent drive performance, so the definition of Hyperdrive Design is a model equipped with Hyperdrive Digigear and improved rotation performance. Although it consists of up to four new technologies, it is categorized as a hyperdrive concept even if the three parts other than the drive gear are not new technology parts. In addition, various parts materials are used properly in the right place.
■ HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
A newly designed gear system for baitcasting (biaxial) reels that pursues continuous strong and smooth rotation. DAIWA’s unique technology that achieves an increase in meshing ratio without reducing the gear tooth module (size), which is directly linked to durability, and realizes long-lasting initial smoothness.
A housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, and produces precise winding comfort and power. It is a necessary condition to use a metal material for the frame, which is essential, and by combining it with a side plate or set plate, it is possible to continue to demonstrate the basic performance for a longer period of time. In this series, aluminum alloy is used for the frame, gear side plate, and dial side set plate. It is a full metal housing specification that achieves robustness and unrivaled strength.
A clutch system that not only has a sharp on/off trigger that keeps sliding thousands and tens of thousands of times, but also has extremely few troubles even in seawater with high salinity. It boasts a state-of-the-art insulation structure that has already achieved a 99% reduction in the number of sticking repairs in harsh salt scenes in our company.
■ATD
This is a new generation of drag adjustment system that constantly adjusts tension according to the pull of the drag. it maintains smoothness and trolling abilities among reels, hence allowing anglers to concentrate on the fishing, not on setting the drag.
■ 130mm long handle
Adopting a long handle that is optimal for constant speed winding, focusing on hoisting performance, emphasizing sensitivity to grasp changes in the tide.
A special specification that eliminates the winding weight associated with the gear ratio increase.
A 65mm single handle requires a technique to wind at a constant speed, but with the advent of the 130mm long handle, it is possible to achieve light and constant speed winding even in high gear.
■The winding amount is a guideline and varies depending on the manufacturer, item, and tension.
■The bottom winding standard line is PE No. 0.8-300m.
