HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR
HYPERDRIVE Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa’s Digigear concept delivering a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.
HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT
A drive support system that achieves continuous smoothness and winding strength and lightness. By supporting both ends of the pinion gear with high precision with two ball bearings, the input from the handle is not attenuated, and it is possible to wind up powerfully and lightly even when a load is applied.
HYPER ARMED HOUSING (FULL AL)
A housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, and produces precise winding comfort and power. It is a necessary condition to use a metal material for the frame, which is essential, and by combining it with a side plate or set plate, it is possible to continue to demonstrate the basic performance for a longer period of time. In this series, aluminum alloy is used for the frame, gear side plate, and dial side set plate. It is a full metal housing specification that achieves robustness and unrivaled strength.
HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH
A clutch system that not only has a sharp on/off trigger that keeps sliding thousands and tens of thousands of times, but also has extremely few troubles even in seawater with high salinity. Ultimate Casting Design Daiwa features four key elements (Ultimate Casting Brake, Ultimate Casting Line Guide, Ultimate Casting Zero Adjust and Ultimate Casting Spool), each developed for ultimate performance.
ULTIMATECASTING ZERO ADJUST
With DAIWA’s expertise in the main brake (MAGFORCE), a secondary (mechanical) brake is unnecessary. The Zero Adjuster, born from the ‘ZERO Adjust’ concept, allows you to set the spool play to ‘ZERO,’ and from there, you can adjust the magnetic dial to handle any situation.
ULTIMATECASTING LINE GUIDE
The [TWS] system achieves precise line winding and expands the resistance-free range during casting. This mechanism smooths the line flow, dramatically improving the long-casting performance of DAIWA bait reels. Additionally, TWS helps prevent ‘line jamming accidents’ and backlash, which were common with level winds
ULTIMATECASTING BRAKE
he ‘MAGFORCE’ electromagnetic brake system and ‘variable induct rotor’ create a completely contactless braking system. Since it doesn’t rely on friction, it’s less affected by conditions like water, rain, splashes, or humidity, and the parts don’t wear out, so performance lasts much longer. The stable braking of MAGFORCE also makes it great for lightweight lures and offers excellent versatility.
ULTIMATECASTING SPOOL
Bait reel spools are usually made from aluminum alloys, and DAIWA uses G1 duralumin, the strongest and highest-grade material. It’s 2 times stronger than magnesium and 1.3 times stronger than ultra-duralumin, making the spool very lightweight. However, to work with G1 duralumin, advanced manufacturing skills are needed to make it thin and light while keeping its strength.
TWS(T-WING SYSTEM)
Daiwa’s revolutionary T-Wing System addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.
BF Concept
Easy setting allows you to cast ultra-light lures with ease. It’s perfect for ultra-light lures—just pitch the rod, and the lure flies smoothly on a low trajectory. Even with regular casting, it achieves distance comparable to spinning reels. One of the great features of ‘DAIWA BF’ is the ability to switch between pitching and casting without needing to readjust the brake.
SS MAGFORCE
SS MAGFORCE is a new magnetic brake system designed for ultra-low inertia spools. It’s strong in tough conditions and works well for all types of anglers and situations. The spool quickly responds, allowing lures to fly smoothly on a low, accurate path to hit the target.
UTD-DRAG
A system that combines ultra smooth low inertia with ultimate fish stopping power. UTD combines advanced carbon washers, alloy and stainless steel drag plates with specially designed grease for ultra-smooth performance.
ZERO SHAFT
The spool is only supported by Ball Bearing. Being shaftless eliminates extra resistance and provides ideal spool rotation. In other words, it is the key to a high-power engine that prioritizes casting performance. The spool mechanism, which was once called the speed shaft, was renamed to “Zero Shaft” in 2021.
