Daiwa’s TATULA brand celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2023, and to celebrate a total redesign of one of the most popular baitcast reels in Daiwa’s range, the Tatula TW 100. The new model sports a totally new frame design, which now incorporates HYPERDRIVE Design for the first time. HYPERDRIVE is the culmination of multiple key-elements with the goal of produce a reel with more winding-power under load, with a smoother & longer-lasting feel. Sporting Daiwa’s unique & award-winning T-Wing System (TWS) for longer casts and MAGFORCE Z braking for trouble-free performance under any conditions.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN

HYPERDRIVE Design consists of four of the key pillars. Hyper Armed Housing, Hyper Tough Clutch, Hyper Double Support & HYPERDRIVE Digigear.

HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR

HYPERDRIVE Digigear is the next evolution of baitcast gear design, taking Daiwa’s Digigear concept delivering a smoother and stronger reeling sensation with a significant 60% improvement to gear durability.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING

A housing system that firmly supports the internal structure with high rigidity and high precision, and produces precise winding comfort and power. It is a necessary condition to use a metal material for the frame, which is essential, and by combining it with a side plate or set plate, it is possible to continue to demonstrate the basic performance for a longer period of time. In this series, aluminum alloy is used for the frame, gear side plate, and dial side set plate. It is a full metal housing specification that achieves robustness and unrivaled strength.

HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH

A clutch system that not only has a sharp on/off trigger that keeps sliding thousands and tens of thousands of times, but also has extremely few troubles even in seawater with high salinity. It boasts a state-of-the-art insulation structure that has already achieved a 99% reduction in the number of sticking repairs in harsh salt scenes in our company.

TWS（T-WING SYSTEM）

Daiwa’s revolutionary T-Wing System addresses the issue of traditional line guide/level wind systems constricting line flow by delivering a T-shaped line guide that is larger, wider and less restrictive. TWS allows line to exit freely from the spool with minimal line angle, minimal friction and constriction, thereby reducing line noise and backlash, and delivering more accurate and longer casts.

UTD-DRAG

A system that combines ultra smooth low inertia with ultimate fish stopping power. UTD combines advanced carbon washers, alloy and stainless steel drag plates with specially designed grease for ultra-smooth performance.

ZERO ADJUSTER
Thanks to the revolutionary SV-Concept, it is no longer necessary to adjust the Mechanical Spool Brake Knob when casting. Perfect Zero Adjuster setting is when the spool shaft is held without side to side spool play. Appropriate brake power adjustment is now fully manageable with only the use of the Magnetic dial.
